Optical pigtale

An optical pigtale is a piece of optical cable with a connector attached at one end and a free end at the other. Pigtails are designed to crimp optical cables and to connect the bare fibers of a linear optical cable to switching or measuring equipment.

 

Both multimode (G.651) and single-mode fibers complying with the international recommendation ITU-T G.652D can be used in the design.

 

Connectors. PLC optical connectors are characterized by a wide bandwidth, stable parameters, high reliability.
